Cyber Security Event Title: Cincinnati OWASP Local Chapter Address: Cincinnati, Ohio Description: The chapter lead is Andy Willingham. The OWASP chapter meetings are free and open to anyone interested in information security, risk management, data protection and application security. Chapter meetings are usually held monthly. If you have never attended a meeting before and you are interested to attend one in the future, you can join their mailing list. The Greater Cincinnati Information Systems Security Association is a non-profit group dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and member’s growth within the information security profession.

Its mission is to provide IT Audit, Governance, and Security professionals with the tools and resources needed to deliver high quality results adding value to their organizations. Through our chapter meetings and training seminars, we offer many opportunities to network with local professionals and earn up to 40 CPE’s annually.
Cyber Security Event Title: Cincinnati InfraGard Chapter Address: Cincinnati, Ohio Description: Though no further information is included, you can check out the next meeting of this public-private sector group backed by the FBI. InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. It is an association of persons who represent businesses, academic institutions, Ohio and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the U.S.

Just attend the Tuesday night meetings to know more. Hive13 was formed to provide a Hackerspace for the Cincinnati area, and we encompass many interests – computing, mechanics, artistry, chemistry, brewing, complex biochemistry, among many others. Our intention is to provide an open framework for hackers of all stripes to exchange ideas, skills, and information, learning from each other as well as teaching.

While not historic, the Crowne Plaza is in the heart of the hood and close to all its VIP activities.
