The first Cyber Security EXPO is taking place at ExCeL London on October 8th and 9th.
More than 15,000 professionals in the information technology community are expected to attend. Hundreds of speakers will address topics including mobile cloud computing, social media, identity and access, encryption, GRC, analytics and data. The event is co-located with IP EXPO Europe and the Data Centre EXPO, which will feature additional presenters on a variety of related topics.
The Keynote Speaker
The keynote speaker will be Sir Tim Berners-Lee, best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web. He is the current director of the World Wide Web Consortium and has received awards and recognitions from more than thirty organizations, including national governments and scientific societies. He will speak about his vision for Internet technology in 2050, focusing on how businesses will use it and shape it in the near future for competitive advantage. He will speak at 10 a.m. on October 8th.
Other Great IT Security Speakers
More than 250 other greats in IT security will speak at the conference. The speakers include Doug Cutting, creator of Hadoop; Mark Russinovich, technical fellow at Microsoft; Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer for F-secure; Bruce Schneier, cryptographer and security analysis columnist; Andrew France, former director of GCHQ; Dr. Giovanni Vigna, professor of computer science at the University of California in Santa Barbara; Uri Rivner, head of cyber security at BioCatch; E.J. Hilbert, managing director for Kroll Cyber and ex-FBI agent; Dave Merkel, CTO at FireEye; and Richard Knowlton, group corporate security director at Vodafone.

The EXPO’s more than 300 seminars include the Big Data Evolution Summit, an exhibition hosted by Cloudera; the Software Defined Networking Conference, featuring workshops on SDN applications; the Digital Transformation Summit, featuring the professionals from Microsoft and Starbucks’ IT departments; the Futures Den, dedicated to start-up companies; and the Cyber Hack open source lab, a new event for 2014 where white hat hackers will show their expertise. With more than 15,000 professionals in the field of information technology, visitors will have time to network with peers and leaders from around the world.
The Cyber Security EXPO is offering free consultancy to all registered visitors in order to help each visitor determine which of the lectures to attend.
