North America CSX Cybersecurity Nexus Conference, October 17 – 19, 2016, Las Vegas, NV, USA
The CSX Conference is a big one in the cybersecurity conference calendar. Organized by ISACA, the Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), according to the organizers is: “an America Information Security Conference [that] will provide you [with] opportunities to gain knowledge, skills and tools you need to protect and defend your organization and, help your organization fully realize the positive potential of technology.” Taking place in Las Vegas, we’d strongly recommend that you attend this event if you live and work in Nevada. Cyber Security Conference, October 18, 2016, Leeds, United Kingdom
The simply titled ‘Cyber Security Conference’ is taking place this week in Leeds, UK. This is the second time that this conference has taken place and according to the organizers it’s “bigger and bolder”. Last year saw over 170 delegates attend 14 key note speakers from government, law enforcement, academia, business, real world hackers, cyber bullying, crisis psychology, cyber security experts and much much more. Conference, October 18 – 19, 2016, St. Louis, MO, United States
SecureWorld gatherings give bigger resources and facilitate more connections than any other cybersecurity event in North America. SecureWorld organize 14 regional events prepare and move IT professionals on the front lines. These guys do do a lot for cybersecurity so sure, we absolutely endorse them.

Conference, October 18 – 20, 2016, Luxembourg
This cyber conference is well organized and unique to Luxembourg. Clearly if you work in Luxembourg in a cyber role we’d suggest that you attend! Just as a side note we also have a blog post listing our recommended cyber events taking place in Europe each year.

2016 AISA National Conference – Sydney, October 18 – 20, 2016, 161 Sydney, Australia
This year’s National Conference between 18-20 October 2016 is at the Four Points Hotel, Darling Harbour, Sydney. The theme for this year is: Cyber Security “Do we have IT right?”.

InfoSec Con, October 21, 2016, Raleigh, NC, United States
Triangle InfoSeCon is the largest annual Information Security conference in the area and is the flagship event of the Raleigh Chapter of the Information System Security Association. Their mission (according to the organizers) is simple, they want to train and educate as many people as possible about the importance of Information Security. To accomplish that mission they hold training events during their monthly meetings and they also have their annual CISSP Review. In addition they support the Cyber Patriot program that is geared toward getting high school students interested and involved in Information Security. Lastly, the team provide scholarships to local schools in support of Information Security curriculums. As an organization they believe that Information Security is both the present and the future, and it is incumbent upon us to try to influence the decision makers of today and to train the security leaders of tomorrow.

SANS is the one of the world’s biggest provider of cyber security training. SANS has trained over 40,000 cyber security professionals around the world each year and w work across 30 geographic areas. The National Security Leaders Symposium will focus on the key drivers to successful leadership. As the industry continues to undergo fast-paced change, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with their peers on the most pressing challenges, issues, and future trends that need to be understood in order to successfully navigate into the future.
