This post is a summary of Cyber Security (InfoSec) events, conferences that are taking place this week, which is business week #38 starting September 19 until September 25, 2016
Here’s the latest cyber security conference/ event news
European ICS Security Summit, September 19 – 25, 2016, London, WC2B 5DA GB, United Kingdom
This is a one-day cyber event that includes presentations from world-leading experts in the field of ICS/ SCASA cyber security. There are a bunhc of great speakers from ABB, Audi, Transport for London, Kaspersky Labs and others. In addition, SANS’ ICS instructors and curriculum leads share their knowledge throughout this mini-cyber conference. There will also be a discussion on the Ukrainian power grid attack.
Information Security Network, September 19 – 20, 2016, Reading, West Berkshire, RG7 3AH
Also happening in the UK is the “Information Security Network”. This event addresses issues around governance and cyber compliance. According to the organizers; “[the] CISO’s of today need a balancing act to protect data and manage vulnerability while overcoming regulation and compliance pressure, what are the systems to use and what resources to allocate without detriment or burden.”
The Third International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition (AIPR2016), September 19 – 21, 2016, Lodz, Poland
This cyber event is taking place in Poland – at the Lodz University of Technology.

Being held at the Nashville Music City Center, this event, now in its second year will include some awesome talks and speakers.
CIFI Australia (The CIFI Security Summit 2016), September 20 – 21, 2016, 1 Convention Centre Pl, Australia
We’ve blogged about Cybersecurity events in Australia and we’re glad to be also able to include this cyber event taking place in Melbourne. In this event, like all the other CIFI events will discuss Cyber Intelligence, Digital forensics, Cyber Security and Cyber Investigations.
Workshop on Cybersecurity Risk and Trust Management across Supply Chains, September 20 – 23, 2016, Trondheim, Norway
This event is more of a ‘cyber workshop’ rather than a conference. According to the organizers, the objective of this event is to unite practitioners and researchers from a variety of sectors “to open up discussions and exchange of ideas related to risk and trust management in supply chains with focus on cybersecurity.” Of particular interest to delegates are “supply chains”.
